As the nano sector booms on both sides of the border, issues related to nanotrade, nanoregulation and nanoethics come to the forefront. In response, the Global Law and Policy Initiative at Chicago-Kent College of Law and the Canadian Consulate General in Chicago are sponsoring a conference:

The Next Little Thing: Nano, Business, and Society in the 21st Century

Thursday, March 9, 2006
12:00pm-5:30pm
Reception 5:30-6:30pm
Chicago-Kent College of Law
565 W. Adams Street
Chicago, Illinois 60661

This half-day conference will feature keynote addresses and panel presentations by leading U.S. and Canadian business, legal and policy nano experts on:

- the state of nanobusiness on both sides of the 39th Parallel;
- business-to-business strategies for building high-tech, cross-border nano partnerships;
- nano-specific legal and regulatory developments and questions from both countries; and
- the ethical and social implications faced by nations as we enter the nano century.

Registration is free, but required in advance. I'll be there, and I look forward to sharing insights with you.
