I love how Rain-X makes improves the visibility of a car windshield in the rain. Water just beads up and roll off the windshield. Thanks to nanotechnology, a new special transparent coating repels water and may even prevent corrosion. The Air Force is working on this technology for aircrafts. An Air Force Office of Scientific Research-funded team has developed the transparent coating. This same technology may also help researchers collect water in areas that are scarce.
