Smallest state has biggest nanotech spending

California, Texas and Massachusetts (spelled M-I-T) may have the highest total venture capital spending on nanotech, but on a per capita basis, tiny Rhode island spends the most. And isn't that only right, that the smallest state be ranked number one in nanotech?

Here are the top ten states in nanotech venture capital spending per capita:

2. Massachusetts
3. California
4. Wisconsin
5. Missouri
6. Arizona
7. Maryland
8. North Carolina
9. Michigan
10. Texas
