Students at the University of South Carolina NanoCenter have started News from the Bottom, the online student journallinks of nanotechnology.

Editors Nidhi Kumar and Peter Coolidge have announced a Call for Papers for their next issue, with a deadline for submissions of Friday, February 24th, 2006.

They say they are accepting papers from graduate and undergraduate students on the epistemological, societal, ethical, and legal implications of nanotechnology (and its convergence with biotechnology, information technology, and cognitive science) for their next issue. Articles, reviews, and papers of any length will be considered.

If you're a student with an interest in nanotech, I encourage you to send them something. My first article was for a student journal, and now I'm writing books. And you don't have to be a student of nanotechnology, just a student with something to say about it. Participating in the nanotech discussion is good for you, good for the nanotechnology community, and good for your fellow students. Get heard.
