Nanotechnology research needs defined

David Berube has put together a nice post entitled, Nano Research Needs Assessment – A Summary of Findings, at NanoHype. It includes links and summaries of 16 documents assessing various research needs and nanotech risk research. Highlights:
Researchers warning that some nanoparticles regularly travel throughout the body, deposit in target organs, penetrate cell membranes, lodge in mitochondria, and may trigger injurious responses.
Calls for measurement technologies for workplace air, the development and validation of methods of exposure assessment, and predictive animal models to develop hazard identification, dose-response, and risk assessment information.
Calls for application of mathematical and computer models to improve prioritization of data requirements and risk assessments.
