Nanotechnology center stage at Paris beauty expo

The Beyond Beauty Expo opening in Paris next week will kick off with a presentation on nanotechnology.
The first part of the two-part presentation will be given by Thierry Devers from the IUT Chartres describing the most recent innovations relating to nanotech UV filters. The other part will be given by Jonathan Stott of Oxonica, who will explain about the company's UV filter Optisol. Stott will explain how Optisol can be used to boost a sunscreen's UVA and UVB protection by minimizing free radical generation during exposure to sun exposure.
As a conference press release explains, the efficacy of sunscreens has come on in leaps and bounds in recent years, thanks to innovations such as nano-developed zinc oxide UV filters. This development has led to a sunscreen that is easier to formulate, as well as being both easier and safer to use for consumers. (photo Beyond Beauty)
As a woman, I am glad to see that nanotechnology, which I think that represents our future, will be used for our beauty and skin healthcare.
