International Nanotechnology Week 2006 conferences

Two conferences were announced today, to be held during International Nanotechnology Week in September 2006. The Multifunctional Nanocomposites 2006 Conference is intended to provide a platform for researchers to exchange information, identify research needs and promote the industry-academia interactions in this emerging area of multifunctional nanocomposites. It will be held September 22-22, 2006, at the Hawaii Imin International Conference Center in Honolulu. Topics include:

• Design and Modeling of Nanocomposites
• Numerical and Computational Methods
• Fabrication of Nanocomposites
• Manufacturing Issues in Nanocomposites
• Characterization of Nanocomposites
• Multifunctionalities in Nanocomposites
• Bio-Medical Applications

NanoTX ' 06 will be held at the Dallas Convention Center September 27 and 28, 2006. The evening of September 26 there is an invitation only Nobel Laureate Legends reception, dedicated to the memory of the late Jack Kilby and Richard Smalley, where Nobel prize winners in various related fields will openly discuss their work and the future of nanotechnology. Pavilions for the exhibit area include homeland security, energy, biomed, and semiconductors.
