German cereal box touts nanotechnology

The German division of Kellogg's cereals has dedicated the back of their "Toppas" cereal boxes to nanotechnology information. That looks to me like an effort to ease European consumers into accepting nanotech and hopefully avoid the backlash that has followed the introduction of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) into the region's foods.
Nanotechnology holds the promise of making foods last longer without the use of conventional preservatives. Other cereal makers are on board with the idea, if not quite ready to plaster their boxes with nano-hype. kraft Foods, for example, founded the Nanotek Consortium in 2000 to promote nanotech in foods.
The Foresight Institute has a post on this, and The Innovation Society out of Switzerland has a succinct pdf of their report, "Excellence in Food" available online
If you read German better than I do maybe you can find more info about the nanotech box on the Toppas home page. (photo Kellogg's)
