You may think that I'm a biased blogger since I went to MIT. However, so many of the advances in nanotechnology are happening at MIT, so I can't help but get excited about all these developments! Most recently, MIT news revealed that a team of scientists and researchers have discovered a way to create a bacteria-resistant film.
This discovery was made by Materials Science and Engineering (Course 3) researchers. The film is roughly 50 nanometers thick and can embed metal nanoparticles to disrupt bacterial survival. One of the researchers, a former postdoctoral researcher at MIT, is now at the Advanced Medical Engineering Center in Osaka, Japan.
