Average nanotech salary to top $100K

in micro and nanotechnology in the US is $97,978, and 75 percent said they expect a raise in 2006. That will put the average over the $100,000 mark by year's end. Other key findings from the survey of more than 1,300 micro and nano professionals in 37 countries conducted by Small Times magazine:
On a global basis, the average salary in micro and nanotechnology is $84,605.
64 percent of US employees received a raise in 2005.
81 percent of micro and nano employees in India, where the current average salary is $15,850, expect a raise of more than 5 percent in 2006.
The highest paid profession with micro and nanotechnology: partners in legal services firms in the US.
The least? Researchers in Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
